 The Universal is free to play because it's the work of an independent team of volunteers. As such, we're grateful for any donations you'd like to make to the game's ongoing development.
If you make a donation of $10 or more, you can name a star in the game universe - just tell us the name when you donate.
The star position will be chosen at random and the name will be used for that star on all future versions of the game. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse any name we feel is unsuitable (obscene, libellous, trademarks etc).

About The Universal
The Universal is an independent game project that has been running since 2000. Written originally by 'Mit' - a professional game developer with too little time on his hands - over the years it has grown from a simple online economy game into a universe full of different game styles and user-generated content.
Featuring its own real-time 3d engine, unique customisable gameplay and a fun & always-evolving history, The Universal is a truly unique game that captures the best elements of 'indie' game development.
